NEW: Icelandic Cheerleader's Miserable Attempt at Backtracking
From this, barring pure doublespeak, it is clear that he has changed his opinion, but also that as soon as the new opinion became publicly known, he felt he had to deny it.
Yesterday morning, I reported on an interview with Icelandic neurosurgeon, deCODE Genetics CEO and prominent covidian cheerleader Dr. Kári Stefánsson, where he admits that based on what we know now about Covid-19 vaccine side-effects he would recommend against vaccinating those under 50 if a similar situation arose. After his comments were published in the media, he attempted to backtrack on them,.
Not very successfully though. In an interview with Icelandic online news outlet Visir yesterday afternoon, he denies having changed his opinion on the vaccinations, and he does the same in an interview with newspaper Morgunblaðið today, August 4th. In the original interview, he says if he had the information we have now, with a similar disease, he would recommend against vaccinating people under fifty, referring to intolerably high risk from myocarditis, the lack of protection from infection and the risk-benefit ratio to the age-group. But in the new interview on Visir, he says he would recommend vaccinating everyone, now downplaying the risk from myocarditis and claiming the vaccine halted transmission. Thus, barring pure doublethink, it is clear that he has changed his opinion, but also that as soon as the new opinion became publicly known, he felt he had to deny it.
It is not clear why he now makes this failed attempt at backtracking. What is clear however is how, among the fact-checkers, mainstream media, and social media, there is zero tolerance for any criticism of the so-called Covid-19 vaccines. All attempts at drawing attention to the severity of side-effects or the lack of efficacy are viciously countered by a herd of censors. Those who initially supported vaccination but later withdrew their support have all received very harsh treatment by the censorship complex. Examples include British cardiologist Aseem Malhotra and the well-known nursing specialist Dr. John Campbell.
Neither of the two interviewers seems to have asked Dr. Stefánsson about his preposterous assertion that at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic it looked as if the virus would “wipe out humanity”, and how this fits with his own research findings that already in March 2020 indicated a mortality rate of 0.3%.
Neither of them asked to which studies he refers regarding the huge risk of myocarditis, surely the most concerning part of the whole story. For their information, the latest and most thorough study on this shows how one in every 35 vaccinated individuals is diagnosed with chronic myocarditis due to the vaccination. It might be this study Dr. Stefánsson refers to.
And neither reporter thought to ask why Dr. Stefánsson now defends his outrageous demand, made in the fall of 2021, for “lifelong quarantine” of the unvaccinated based on the "interests of society," as by then it was already known that the vaccines would never stop the spread of the virus. Even his close colleague, Icelandic chief epidemiologist Dr. Þórólfur Guðnason, had already pointed this out earlier that year, a statement renowned epidemiologist Dr. Martin Kulldorff quoted on LinkedIn a few days later, only for his post on it to be immediately censored by the platform. At one point he was even thrown off the platform for posting a piece on the damage done by blanket lockdowns.
Kulldorff, an honest and courageous scientist, never backtracked on his conclusions or opinions, but instead took the censors to court.
Update: Following the money.
I don't think it too cynical to deduct that Stefánsson was the object of a “friendly conversation” over the phone, or in a café, suggesting he quickly retract his critical comments about the anti-Covid vaccine otherwise he might face the loss of grant money for his research or perhaps find himself the object of an investigation leading, possibly, to no more paychecks... Such are the idle speculations that come to mind as a hypothesis explaining such behaviour...
Stefánsson most likely received a visit or a phone call from one of his WEF/EU/NATO/WHO/DOD counterparts who read him the riot act. It's sort of like the Mafia, once you're in there's no way out except via a coffin.
