Two Years Since the Great Barrington Declaration
It is becoming more and more obvious how misguided it was not to follow the advice of Kulldorff, Bhattachariya and Gupta
October 4th marks two years since Martin Kulldorff, Jay Bhattachariya, and Sunetra Gupta issued the Great Barrington Declaration, calling for an end to lockdowns and restrictions while focusing on protecting vulnerable groups during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Great Barrington Declaration was met with massive opposition, its authors endured constant personal attacks, and the proven traditional measures they proposed were described as criminal by those driving the indefensible experimentation the epidemic of fear spawned around the world. The damage already done by lockdowns, travel bans, isolation and sabotage of health care, education and child development around the world shows how misguided the experiment was. And we have so far seen only the top of the iceberg.
Kulldorff, Bhattachariya and Gupta, not to mention Jeffrey Tucker, who was instrumental in making the statement a reality, have weathered the storm like rocks. It is becoming more and more obvious how misguided it was not to follow their advice.
Congratulations on this important anniversary. And thank you!
I remember reading it and thinking how ridiculous it was that it needed to be said and, having said it, that it, and they, were covered in astounding abuse. I also remember being pleased to find Jeffrey Tucker and to realise I wasn't alone in my reasoning. It was a nasty cold virus which harmed the elderly, infirm, already ill. Just like all the other nasty cold viruses. We knew how to react to it but for some reason everyone went mad. I still don't understand how or why or why I didn't go mad too. But it was good to know some "proper profs" agreed with me!
Covid unleashed barbaric opportunity for the insecure and biased political, academic, and media dingleberries.
