We must all join forces in the fight for the right to express ourselves, to think, to doubt, to come together in the public square to discuss, reason and shape society.
Your words are galvanising, Thorsteinn. Each of us must take responsibility to keep fighting for free speech - it is our right by default, not by government consent. Know the laws which govern the collection of records in your country, hold the government officials to account to ensure that these records are not hidden or destroyed. Push back and speak up when your data and privacy is being pillaged to build a digital prison around you.
There was a good article in TCW today by Lawrence Hodge wherein he postulated about the inertia of our betters to face the truth (but only because they Can no longer hide it): “...politicians, officials & experts are increasingly aware of the enormity of what they’ve done to a largely compliant population, 1st by curtailing their freedoms & their right of association, then by restricting their access to healthcare, also by bombarding them w/ terrifying messages & ultimately by coercing them to undergo experimental inoculation whose repercussions have yet to be fully revealed.”
He wrapped up with the irony of the sanctimonious deriding people who would take veterinary “horse paste” when the vaccinated were the actual guinea pigs & lab rats.
You've received attention from the media? Are the Icelandic journalists beginning to behave like old school journalists? That would be good. Without the press on board it is almost impossible to hold the powerful to account. The press worldwide have been captured so it would be great if the Icelandic journos are waking up.
I truly wish I could believe all responsible will be held to account, but it may well not be in this life.
People still having power & platforms like the Clintons, Bushes, Newsom, Whitmer & other tyrannical politicians, NObummers, Bidens, Faux-Xi, Birx, Collins, Neil Ferguson, Gates, Soros, Schwab, Whitty, Boris Johnson, Turdeau, ad nauseum leaves me little hope unless things really start to turn, & fast.
Well said. Not only democracy but scientific discourse is imperilled. Those of us who have understood what's happening have little choice but to take a stand against it. However, on the assumption this risks becoming drawn out into an extended period of human existence, I have decided to play the long game. To that end, I've just started a new Substack, Stranger Worlds and How To Live In Them:
The About page (or the opening post 'A Thousand Miles') makes it clear where I'm coming from. Unlike you, I shall not be approaching this problem 'head on' (although I greatly respect everything you're doing). Rather, I shall focus on what was left behind, to see if we can salvage something from it.
Enormous gratitude for everything you do! It is always appreciated. 🤍

I was truly amazed. But I suspect it may be starting to dawn on them that they too will be held to account.

All true and nice work thank you. Perilous times but maybe increases opportunities for meaningful change? Trust this is possible.
